The All Souls Regatta

The All Souls Regatta 2018 will be the 15th regatta in the series. Organized by the Puerto Galera Yacht Club, the All Souls Regatta is the largest yachting event in the Philippines and has been since 2004.

In 2018 the All Souls Regatta is scheduled for the holiday week of Saturday, October 27th to Sunday, November 3rd, although actually, every day is a holiday in Puerto Galera – The Most Beautiful Bay In The World In The Philippines

October 27-28 features the All Souls Dinghy Regatta, with Optimist and Lawin (Mirror look-alike) sailing dinghies. October 30-31 there will be practice races for the Big Event, which takes place on November 1-3.

Designed to be the event that kicks off the traditional yacht racing season in the Philippines, the All Souls Regatta brings together yachts from all of the sailing clubs around the country plus visiting yachts from overseas.

The All Souls Regatta is the most fun you can have on the water at Halloween.

The yachts come for the All Souls Regatta Week because by the end of October, at Halloween, the northeast monsoon has been blowing for a couple of weeks and the weather is superb for day racing in the waters of the Verde Island Passage, off Puerto Galera. The sailors come because the Puerto Galera Yacht Club is considered to be the friendliest yacht club in Asia. This is the only international yachting event where everyone who wants to sail gets a place on a yacht. Whether you are a yacht owner or motley crew, come to the All Souls Regatta and enjoy the easterly breezes by day plus the fun and camaraderie of yacht club parties at the Puerto Galera Yacht Club by night.

Latest news from the Yacht Club Race Office is that 32 yachts have already confirmed attendance and another 7 have indicated their probable participation.

If all arrive as planned from places far then the Royal Cargo All Souls Regatta 2016 will have exceeded expectations and will be the largest ever gathering of yachts in the Philippines for a single event. This will also be the first time that at least seven cruising catamarans will be racing together in the Philippines.

Every yacht is welcome and every would-be crew member is encouraged to participate – the yacht club will find you a place on a yacht that needs extra crew on the day.
